He may be known world wide for his deeply euphoric electronic sounds as well as music scores for Hollywood, but event organisers and the Guinness book of world records quotes him as the world’s most expensive DJ at Rs 21 lakh rupees for a two and a half hour performance.

SOUND MACHINE: DJ Oakenfold rocked Delhi on Friday night with his euphoric electronic sounds.
On Friday night, Delhi’s legendary nightclub Elevate and Nokia teamed up to give Mumbai and Delhi the ‘Oaky’ experiance. CNN-IBN correspondent Reshil Charles caught up with the legend.
Reshil Charles: Welcome to India.
Paul Oakenfold: Thank You.
Reshil Charles: A little bird tells me you have been here a decade ago and played in the underground scene in Goa?
Paul Oakenfold: Yes, you are right. I came here twice and went to Goa as there is a big movement called Goa Trance especially in UK So i came twice and went to Mumbai and did a show there too.
Reshil Charles: I asked people if they had to chose between making love and coming for your show what would they do? They chose you! What do you have to say about that?
Paul Oakenfold: Oh they said that? Well, it is about the connection between the self and music. It’s wonderful to see people enjoying themselves especially when you are performing so it’s great that they say that.
Reshil Charles: Have a great show, Paul.
Paul Oakenfold: Thanks very much.
