The delegate registration process for the International Film Festival of India-2009 (IFFI), scheduled to be held in Goa, has begun.
The delegate registrations for the 40th edition of IFFI began on September 1, 2009 on the websites of the Directorate of Film Festivals and the Entertainment Society of Goa, a spokesman for the Society which is a State government body, told PTI.
The organisers have fixed the closing date for registration as November 10, 2009.
The festival will be held between November-December this year.
The event is organised by the Directorate of Film Festivals, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in collaboration with the Government of Goa.
He said that the registration has already received tremendous response. The attendance this year is likely to be up by 20 percent, the spokesman said.
ESG officials stated that last year the number of delegates have crossed 6,000 mark which was higher than the earlier turn-out.
The festival is held in the auditoriums spread across Panaji city on the bank of River Mandovi.
