In one of the biggest narcotic hauls in Goa, the Narcotics Control Bureau on Sunday seized 15 kg of heroin, valued at Rs 15 crore in the international market, from two persons rom Rajasthan in one of the biggest hauls in the state. Acting on a tip-off, police arrested Manikrao Dangui (35) and Pralhad Kharod (22) with the contraband as they got down from a bus at the bus stand here, a NCB official said. Sleuths stated said the narcotic was brought here from Rajasthan. “We had specific information that the drug peddlers were heading towards Goa following raids in Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata,” the official said. NCB had in recent past seized 200 kg cocaine in Mumbai, 35 kg heroin in Delhi besides a haul in Kolkata. With arrest of the two peddlers, the NCB expects to unearth a bigger racket in this connection. (PTI)
