Mr Joe Dias of VJT entertainments on Saturday informed that Miss Goa beauty pageant will be held on February 14.Mr Dias disclosed that this is the fifth consecutive year that Miss Goa pageant is being conducted and said that the organizers will lay emphasis on beauty, the Goan style. He further said that all efforts will be taken to make the event a truly unique and lively affair. He also said that the pageant is being conducted to provide a platform for the young and budding Goans and that the whole objective is to tap the young talent and give them exposure at the state level.
He revealed that the organisers have introduced a casual wear round this time and have dropped the swimwear round in respect to the cultural ethos of the land.The participants ought to be Goans, a spinster and below 25 years of age, he said and further added that the participants will have to undergo three rounds of casual wear, athletic wear and formal wear. He said the selected participants would be trained by a team of outstation professionals, adding that January 24 is the last date to submit entries.
