The medical examination of the German minor has confirmed that she was raped, her lawyer claimed on Sunday. “I have spoken to the doctors and they said the examination has proved that she was raped,” Aires Rodrigues said.
The medical examination of the 14-year-old girl, whose mother has accused Goa Education Minister Atanasio Monserratte’s son, Rohit, of raping and Public Works Department Minister Churchill Alemao’s nephew Warren of sexually abusing her daughter, was done on Sunday.
The examination was conducted by a panel of doctors at the Goa Medical College and Hospital at Bambolim. Accompanied by her mother and lawyer, the girl came to the forensic department of the college and had to wait almost for an hour as the doctors had to consult the GMC dean.
“A panel of doctors was constituted as the case is sensational. Otherwise, only one doctor conducts the examination,” a doctor, who did not want to be named, said.
“As per the Goa Children’s Act, even if the girl had sex with mutual consent, it amounts to rape as she is a minor,” Rodrigues said.
