Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC)’s Board of Directors at a meeting held today gave its approval for appointing 58 lifeguards.
The lifeguards were recruited by GTDC to man the main beaches of Goa and they had even undergone the training period. Uncertainty had prevailed as initially Election Code was in force and after the new government was formed in June, reconstitution of Board of Directors was delayed initially due to political factors and later due to the attempted coup.
GTDC MD Sanjit Rodrigues has confirmed the approval for appointment of 58 lifeguards.
