He further expressed that the Congress workers particularly Seva Dal volunteers should take the Programmes of the Government to the downtrodden to disseminate the benefits of these programmes. The National Flag was hoisted at the venue at the hands of Shri. Shirodkar.

Dr.Ulhas Parab, General Secretary of GPCC while delivering the welcome address said that Babasaheb Ambedkar, under whose Chairmanship the constitution of India has been drafted has given justice, liberty, equality and fraternity to secure all the citizens of our country.
Shri Jeetendra Deshprabhu said that the people of the country should unitedly fight the menace of terror to keep the pace of development of the country.
Shri.Vishnu Wagh, General Secretary of GPCC expressed happiness over the overwhelming participation of the Seva Dal volunteers and congress workers and appealed that we should bring more and more people to the party fold which is required to achieve the dreams of Father of the Constitution.
The school children from various schools of Pernem presented Patriotic Songs.
