The 15-day budget session of the Goa legislative assembly has tentatively been scheduled from July 20 till August 7 subject to the
business advisory committee’s decision. The governor, Shivinder Singh Siddhu, has summoned the assembly session for discussion and passing of the budget.

Legislature secretary J Braganza told TOI that the upcoming session will begin everyday at 11.30am. This will be the eighth session of the fifth legislative assembly of Goa. Although the legislature department has already started receiving questions from legislators, the exact business of the upcoming assembly session is yet to be finalized. The business advisory committee, under the chairmanship of the speaker will meet shortly to decide on this, Braganza said.
