Goa Bharatiya Janata Party today accused the Congress-led state government of”not properly”handling the situation arising after the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks and”creating panic”in the state.
Opposition leader Manohar Parrikar said the government behaved like”headless chicken”in the wake of the terror strikes and ruined the state&aposs economy, especially the tourism industry.
“The state government failed to project Goa as a safe tourist destination and in carrying confidence building measures across the nation,” Parrikar said.
The chief minister and home minister instead of reinforcing faith in the people were busy making”irresponsible statements”scaring away tourists, he said.
