The Imam of Jama Masjid, Maulana Muhammad Ali Kadri appealed to the Muslims to be tolerant and maintain peace and communal harmony “as this is what the month of Ramadan teaches us.”
Muslims offer prayers during Eid-ul-Fitr at Campal, Panjim, on Sunday.
Delivering the main surmon at the Campal grounds this morning, the Maulana prayed to the almighty to give better sense to all regardless of caste, race and religious faith.
He also urged the rich to show mercy towards the poor by donating generously to them so that they too celebrate Eid.
