Congress MP from South Goa Churchill Alemao has threatened to leave the party within 30 days, after he was slapped with a show-cause notice by the party central leadership.

Alemao, who was slapped with a notice by AICC General Secretary Margaret Alva, has refused to budge from his stand.
“I stand by my statements…. Whatever I said was in the interest of Goans,” he told reporters in South Goa yesterday.
The Lok Sabha MP has been critical of Congress, heading the ruling coalition in the state, on issues like special economic zone, international airport, regional development plan and expressway project.
