Panaji Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Sharmila Patil on Friday directed the Old Goa police (north Goa) to comply with the undertaking given before the Bombay High Court at Goa to file a charge sheet against Goa Health Minister Vishwajit Rane for threatening to kill social activist Aires Rodrigues.
Charge sheet to be filed against Goa Minister
The Old Goa police had forwarded the First Information Report registered on August 22, 2007 against the Health Minister to the JMFC with a request to close the investigation against Mr. Rane. Rejecting the request, the JMFC on Friday returned the FIR to Old Goa Police Inspector Gurudas Gawade with directions to comply with the undertaking given to the Bombay High Court at Goa.
