Goa Tourism Minister Fransisco Pacheco has said that he feels”helpless”in his tourism ministry as bunkers are set up all over the place severely affecting state&aposs tourism potential. “The tourism ministry was not consulted before setting up these bunkers. We were not taken into confidence to just go around and see the beach stretches look like India Pakistan border,”Pacheco, who is an NCP legislator, said.
Goa government, on the recommendations of the home ministry, has set up sand bag posts along major beaches of Goa and also in the cities. The steps were taken to avoid any terror attack on the state through porous sea route. There was no proper coordination between ministers in the Kamat-led ministry. “Every one is thinking individually. There is no collective thinking which is not good for the state,”he added.
