Operations at the Dabolim airport in Goa were halted for half an hour Tuesday afternoon after a bird hit a flight coming in to land, officials said. Airport Authority of India (AAI) officials told IANS that a bird got entangled in the landing gear of a Spicejet flight, as it was landing Tuesday afternoon.

“The incident occurred at 1:20 p.m. when the flight was coming in from Mumbai. Technicians immediately attended to the problem. We managed to get it sorted out in half an hour,” the official said.
