  6. This site seems to be as laid back as I can ever remember about Goa. No one seems to be bothered to reply. what a shame! I sent my photograph to the owner of this site and have no clue what has happened to it.
You won’t hear from me again.

  8. I would be thrilled if some one could lead me to Nelson Sa who lived in salcete. I have been close friend of that family and have lost touch for long time.
He did work for a hotel in north near panaji.
I am settled in the US and will share my number if some one can assist me.
    Miss Goa a lot.

  10. Wake up Goans, it’s time to wake up before it’s too late. Stop electing goondas/criminals who run the state today. These politicians have a known history of crimes and their children following their footsteps….
Also request all Goans to stop calling outsiders “ghaatis” as it sounds racist. Recently Mumbai was attacked by terrorists, forces from all over India helped Mumbai police to combat the terrorists….Much before that Mr. Raj Thackeray had spread violence stating that outsiders should not work in Mumbai. But at the time of the crises in Mumbai, Mr. Thackeray’s policy did not work because forces came from outside Mumbai. People also sacrificed their lives to save Mumbai…..Similarly if some day Goa faces such crises then we might need help from other states also. Im a Goan too, but realise the fact that we need to stop criticising other states and start working to make Goa once again an ideal state and stop all the corruption that is taking place in Goa. Is the Goa Govt. strong enough to protect the Goans????

  13. Why does everyone that I know of, atleast us Goans in the North are never bothered about Mopa airport but the people in the south are really passionate about the topic Dabolim versus Mopa, the thing that we are interested in is the friday bazar at Mapusa an whether we will get parking space?

  18. Just a thought there are a lot of non born Goans passing thenselves off as born Goans this is done for social acceptance by fellow Goans.
Some of them are children of inter state marriages. I do not see why they cannot be proud of both of their parents cultures instead of claiming to be absolute Goans. By being what they actually are makes them even more Indian Goan instead of just faking being pure Goan. I think Goans will not discriminate against them. But by not being true to what they actually are, they make out as if Goans do discriminate against a non Goan or part Goan.

  30. Goa is now buzzing with new FM stations. Big 92.7 FM is the best of the lot as it has the latest music. Big FM is always the first to bring the latest music to Goa. Currently the only station to play the great new music of the upcoming movie Cash and soon to release Marigold.
Big FM RJs are also the most entertaining. They’re friendly, interactive and warm. They take many callers and put voices of Goan people on air.
Its great to hear Goans from across the state dicussing, talking or just making sounds on the station!!
Big FM also gives all useful information like weather, fish price, entertainment update, tips on driving during the monsoons and even fashion.
